Definition of War (Austin)

The war on drugs is a very vague term. The term "War on Drugs" was coined by Richard Nixon to describe an ongoing series of foreign conflicts and military operations to prevent drug trafficking into the U.S. The idea is to prevent drugs from entering the United States at all. However, drugs are such a deeply embedded  aspect of so many peoples' lives that it is virtually impossible to remove them from our culture, as prohibition has demonstrated in the past.
